Rebecca joined the AWS Legal team in late 2021 after completing a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology, at the University of Otago. During her university breaks, she worked as a summer clerk in Ashburton, where she developed an interest in commercial law. Since joining AWS Legal, Rebecca has progressed to the role of Associate and works in both our Employment and Commercial teams.
Rebecca is a Certificate Holder with the Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI), an international organisation dedicated to advancing the quality and standards of workplace investigations. Having completed AWI’s specialised training programme, Rebecca conducts independent, impartial, and legally informed investigations into workplace complaints and allegations, helping organisations respond to complex situations in a fair and defensible manner.
Rebecca was drawn to AWS Legal by its strong focus on professional development and supportive team environment. She enjoys working with clients across a wide range of employment and commercial matters. Outside of work, Rebecca loves reading, cooking, and travelling (particularly exploring the outdoors). When she’s not out adventuring, you can find her spending time with friends and family
