Stephen is an experienced Senior Solicitor in our Invercargill office, supporting both our Employment and Litigation teams.
After gaining his Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Science from the University of Otago in 2021, Stephen came to Invercargill gaining experience in general practice but specialised in employment and litigation.
With his ability to analyse and understand complex situations, excellent communication, problem-solving skills and dedication to advocacy for his clients, Stephen is valued member of the AWS Legal team.
When asked “Why Law?” Stephen said, “Every situation is different, and the law is constantly changing – I enjoy following these developments. Plus, I like dealing with people from a variety of backgrounds and of course achieving positive outcomes for my clients.”
Some of Stephen’s career highlights so far, include co-authoring an article in a national employment law journal, appearing as co-counsel in the employment relations authority, and making regular appearances in the District and High Court.
Away from the office, Stephen enjoys all forms of social sport, getting stuck in with projects around the house, working on his goal to complete all of New Zealand’s 11 Great Walks, walking his dog, and catching the latest film releases.
