Summer Clerk Spotlight – Donald McIntosh

Donald McIntosh was the first recipient of the Stephen Whiteland Memorial Scholarship with AWS Legal. This provided him with funding of $2,000 for each of his final two years of study as well as the opportunity of a clerkship with the AWS Legal Team.

Donald has worked with both our Property & Projects and Employment teams in our Invercargill office since being awarded the scholarship.

During his time with us over the summer, Donald said “The Stephen Whiteland Memorial Scholarship and clerkship have provided me with some great hands-on experience going into my final year of university. Working in a law firm with strong Southland roots such as AWS Legal has given me the chance to work alongside and learn from highly experienced Partners and other colleagues. I look forward to putting what I have gained from this experience into practice over the coming year and into the future”.

We wish Donald all the best for his last year at Otago University!

Keep an eye out for when the next round of applications opens for the Stephen Whiteland Memorial Scholarship.
