Solicitor – Private Client

About the role

AWS Legal have been at the forefront of legal advice for more than 130 years. We are a flexible and family friendly firm with a brand-new modern office space.

We are currently looking for a dynamic and motivated Lawyer with experience working in a Private Client practise. As the successful candidate you will work alongside partner’s with long standing clients advising on a diverse range of private client matters from relationship property and conveyancing to Trust, estates and elder law work.

Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years’ PQE.
  • Empathetic and client focussed.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to build and manage strong client relationships.
  • Proven track record in successfully advising clients on matters relating to estates, elder law, wills and trusts.

This role involves stimulating work, delivering strong outcomes for valued clients and being a critical enabler of providing a fantastic client experience.

People and capability manager

 

About the role

With offices in Invercargill, Winton, Queenstown, Cromwell and Alexandra the People & Capability Manager will play a key part in ensuring the Firm is able to achieve its vision and values through the implementation of innovative people practices.

Reporting into the CEO, the People & Capability Manager will be responsible for providing both strategic and operational HR support to the business. This role is a true generalist position and will provide support across all aspects of HR. Key projects and focuses will include retention, development, change management, building the culture as well as health, safety and wellbeing.

About you

We are looking for an individual who has:

  • 5+ years generalist HR experience, with strengths in change management, as well as creating & implementing people initiatives & approaches, training & development and health, safety & wellbeing.
  • Strategic thinker, with excellent communication skills used to influence and get buy in from key stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level – you are comfortable rolling up your sleeves with no task too big or small
  • Have a passion for people and the drive and desire to make a real difference.
