AWS Legal Special Counsel Kristy Rusher has broad experience working on many large projects in the public and private sector. Kristy has particular expertise in resource management and environmental law having worked on large scale infrastructure projects, property development (both commercial, residential and farm development) and dairy contract disputes. Kristy’s responsive approach to dispute resolution and in-depth expertise in many aspects of the law have helped a large number of significant projects succeed.
Qualified at the University of Otago, Kristy holds an LLB, MBA, and MTour. She has also attended an executive education programme at Harvard Law School. She has been practising in the Southland, Otago and Canterbury regions since 2003. Her extensive experience in her field provides you with the strategic legal advice to resolve issues that arise when planning or completing a project. She is experienced in all forms of dispute resolution including arbitration, mediation, alternative dispute resolution and has appeared in the Environment Court, as well as the District and High Courts of New Zealand.
