Katie Fairweather

Solicitor
Rural and Agribusiness, Employment and Health & Safety
Invercargill

Katie was born and raised in Invercargill before going on to study Law and Communication Studies at Otago University. Katie started in our rural team in 2019 working alongside Toni Green and Aaron Drake as a winter and summer clerk, it didn’t take her long to become a valued team member and so Katie stayed on with us part-time in 2020 while she completed her studies.

Since then, Katie has also joined the Employment Law team, splitting her time between the two speciality areas.

Katie spent a lot of time on her grandparents farm in Rimu when she was growing up so she has a passion for all aspects of rural life as well as the law. Katie is developing expertise in employment law, residential conveyancing, Wills and Enduring Powers of Attorney and Trust Law.

In her spare time Katie enjoys playing competitive squash for Southland, netball and touch as well as cooking, travelling and socialising with her friends and family.
